Nursing Home Ministry

At Church on the Rock, we value the elderly. The Nursing Home Ministry is devoted to honoring our elderly and sharing with them the love and hope that is Christ Jesus. Our volunteers come from all walks of life. Some are retirees, some are working moms and dads, and some are singles, but all are dedicated to one common goal - sharing our Lord's Good News through love and friendships.

There are many things we can do to help the hurting and lonely: read to them, play board games, share our lives, our children, our favorite things, and of course, pray with them. The amount of time devoted to this ministry is up to each individual volunteer. Whether you're able to visit several times a week or once a month isn't as important as doing what you can. God may ask you to "stretch" yourself, but He won't ask you to do something that you are not able to do. Doing what you can is always better than just thinking about it!
