Let’s build a better community by inspiring hope. This season is a great opportunity to teach our kids to give back and help other kids during this quarantine. This heart-warming process allows them to feel they matter, making a difference and their efforts are important.
We are asking kids to create a Kids Rock Build-a-Box filled with school supplies and activities for kids in need. This is a great outreach to do together as a family. It's easy for the whole family to participate.
How to create a Kids Rock Build-a-Box
1. Find a Shoebox
Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. Be creative and decorate the inside and outside of the shoebox.
2. Fill with gifts
Fill with fun activities and school supplies (see list below) that is not gendered specific. The age categories are:
• 2-4-years old
• 5-9-years old
• 10-11-years-old
3. Pray
Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note of encouragement.
4. Drop-off
Take your shoebox gift to the North Campus at Church on the Rock on Thursdays between 10am – 12pm. Please mark the box with the age group.
