2020 has been a momentous year so far! All month we are remembering and celebrating how good God has been to us! Pastor David and Kim Blunt’s vision to reach our community and the nations of the world began in their hearts in a park in St. Peters. And since then Church on the Rock continues to be one of the largest multi-cultural churches in the St. Louis area!

Year after year we have seen God's faithfulness through the many changed lives and families introduced to COTR. All month long, in our services, we will celebrate the past and focus on the future.

Remember with us as we celebrate our history this monthly in the North Campus and 37 years of God's faithfulness at Church on the Rock!

OUR HISTORY

  • We had our first Service at the St. Peters Holiday Inn. Pastor Blunt shared the vision God had given him for Church On The Rock.
  • 1982
  • 1984

  • We moved to a 4000-square-foot facility in the Cave Springs area. “The Closet” – as this building came to be affectionately known.

  • We move to Progress South Elementary School’s gym – a move the made it possible to consolidate our two Sunday morning services.
  • 1985
  • 1987

  • In 1986 we started the construction of our North Campus on Birdie Hills. It was on May 10, 1987, we had our first service and Dr. Roy Hicks dedicated the new facility.

  • It was in the 90's Church on the Rock launched ministries with a purpose to love on the St. Louis community.
  • Growth
  • 1998

  • Church On The Rock grew so much that its 1200-seat facility was simply too small – even with multiple services.

  • We started construction on our South Campus – a new 3,000-seat sanctuary complex.
  • 1999
  • 2004.jpg

  • By the faithfulness of God, we were able to complete our worship complex, featuring a 3,000 seat sanctuary, state-of-the-art Nursery and Children's facilities, bookstore and much more! Our new campus was dedicated by Pastors Joel and Victoria Osteen on October 24, 2004.

  • For decades Pastor David Blunt has had the dream to reach the Hispanic community in St. Charles County and St. Louis. The dream came to reality in June 2017.
  • 2017
  • 2004

  • This year in November we will be celebrating 37 years of God's faithfulness!
