Preschool Teacher

The Preschool teacher is an individual charged with the duty of teaching children between the ages of two and five. They play the important role of helping the children interact. They get the children ready to enroll into kindergarten. The preschool teacher performs an important duty of helping shape and molds the lives of young children. The preschool teacher provides children with an environment that is both caring and safe where they can grow and learn.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Supports the vision and policies of Church on the Rock.
•    Maintains professional attitude and loyalty to church on the Rock.
•    Treat children, parents, teachers, and administrators with respect and dignity.
•    Promotes early education and literacy.
•    Prepares lesson plans on a daily basis.
•    Prepares and teaches creative activities and games that children engage in.
•    Prepares monthly parent and classroom newsletters.
•    Prepares daily and weekly student work files.
•    Adapts the available teaching methods to meet the interest and needs of children.
•    Develops classroom structure, classroom management, and discipline policies.
•    Demonstrates the ability to inspire and motivate children to learn and engage in the learning process.
•    Plans and participates in parent-teacher conferences. (Employee Childcare students only)
•    Communicates children’s progress, growth, and development to parents.
•    Monitors children’s progress, growth, and development.
•    Prepares reports on children’s development and maintains complete and accurate records.
•    Plans and supervises children in all activities and class projects.
•    Organizes and labels learning materials.
•    Supervises snack time, lunch, and recreational activities.
•    Selects, stores, and issues classroom supplies, equipment, and materials.
•    Maintains a neat and clean classroom.

Event Childcare Worker

An Event Childcare Worker is an individual who supervises and monitors the safety of children in their care. Children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old are welcomed to utilize childcare and may vary from event to event. Workers will provide basic needs for children such as feedings, diaper changes, and entertainment (games, crafts, storytime, and other activities). They work under the supervision and guidance of administrators providing both instructional and non-instructional support. Event Childcare workers help provide children with an environment that is both caring and safe where they can develop social skills and grow.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Support the vision and policies of Church on the Rock. Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to Church on the Rock.
•    Commit to attending mandatory meetings and complete online trainings.
•    Treat children, parents, and administrators with respect and dignity.
•    Prepare rooms by setting up activities and having snacks readily available.
•    Ensure every child received is properly checked in and checked out at each event.
•    Assist other team members with supervising children in all activities and class projects.
•    Maintain a neat and clean classroom.

Substitute Teacher

A substitute teacher is an individual who provides support to the class teacher and students. They work under the supervision and guidance of classroom teachers and school administrators. Substitute teachers provide both instructional and non-instructional support. They help the classroom teacher and teacher assistants with teaching students, monitoring students, daily learning activities, daily scheduled activities, snacks, and lunch. Substitute teachers help provide students with an environment that is both caring and safe where they learn and grow.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Treats children, parents, teachers, and administrators with respect and dignity.
•    Assists in the social and educational development of students under the guidance of the class teacher.
•    Assists the class teacher with implementing lesson plans and daily activities.
•    Assists the class teacher in implementing school programs.
•    Monitors the progress of students.
•    Prepares and presents a display of student work.
•    Assists the class teacher with the preparation of learning materials, classroom projects, and tasks.
•    Assists the class teacher to enforce the administration policies.
•    Assists the class teacher with attendance.
•    Assists the class teacher in planning and supervising children in all activities and class projects.
•    Assists the class teacher with snack time, lunch, and recreational activities.
•    Prepares a list of supplies for classroom activities and materials.
•    Maintains a neat and clean classroom.
