Why teach on hell?
1. The very first sermon Jesus taught was on hell
2. Jesus talked about it more than any other prophet in the Bible
3. Obtain the correct perspective on the afterlife
4. The subject of hell is very offensive to the world

Definition of hell
Eternal conscious punishment, no restraint of evil, no presence of God, sin never stops, God-haters, never repent

 Matthew 25:46 (AMP)
46 Then these [unbelieving people] will go away into eternal (unending) punishment, but those who are righteous and in right standing with God [will go, by His remarkable grace] into eternal (unending) life.

- We have 2 choices, life, or death
- There is eternal punishment or eternal life

Matthew 25:41 (KJV)
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

- Hell has real fire
- Hell was only prepared for the devil and his fallen angels
- Never prepared for human beings

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (TLB)
10 Whatever you do, do well, for in death, where you are going, there is no working or planning, or knowing, or understanding.

- Hell is total boredom

Job 10:21-22 (CEV)
21 before I travel to the land 22 of darkness and despair, the place of no return.

- Place of darkness, despair, sorrow, distress
- The place of no return

Matthew 8:12 (AMP)
12 while the sons and heirs of the kingdom [the descendants of Abraham who will not recognize Me as Messiah] will be thrown out into the outer darkness; in that place [which is farthest removed from the kingdom] there will be weeping [in sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [in distress and anger].”.

-There will be sorrow, weeping, anger, pain, and grinding of teeth in hell.

22 “For just as the new heavens and the new earth Which I make will remain and endure before Me,” declares the Lord, “So your offspring and your name will remain and endure.
23 “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon And from Sabbath to Sabbath, All mankind will come to bow down and worship before Me,” says the Lord. 24 “Then they will go forth and look Upon the dead bodies of the [rebellious] men Who have transgressed against Me; For their worm (maggot) will not die, And their fire will not go out; And they will be an abhorrence to all mankind.”
